Joshua Poole is a young, talented guitarist who has developed an exceptional skill level at an early age — currently holding an RSL Grade 5 qualification and aiming for Grade 8 RSL. With a deep love for music spanning multiple genres, Joshua brings warmth, technical proficiency, and genuine passion to everything he plays.

Providing one-to-one and group guitar tuition for students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to those preparing for RSL grade examinations.
Delivering structured and personalised guitar lessons, helping students build technique, music reading skills, and a genuine love of playing. Lessons cover a wide range of styles including classical, acoustic pop, and fingerstyle, always tailored to each student's individual goals and learning pace. Available for both individual one-to-one sessions and small group lessons.

Performing live at weddings, private events, restaurants, and corporate functions, as well as providing studio session guitar work for artists and producers.
Building a portfolio of live performance work across various venues and event types. Repertoire includes classical guitar pieces, acoustic pop arrangements, fingerstyle originals, and bespoke pieces for special occasions. Available for recording sessions with strong sight-reading ability.
Training & Qualifications
Achieved RSL Grade 5 Guitar certification, demonstrating solid intermediate technical proficiency, musical interpretation, and theory knowledge. Currently aiming for Grade 8 RSL.
The RSL Grade 5 examination covers intermediate technical skills including fingerpicking patterns, repertoire interpretation, sight reading, aural tests, and music theory. Achieving this grade reflects a strong foundation of practice and musical study, and is widely recognised as a significant milestone in formal music education. Josh is currently working towards Grade 8 RSL.
Successfully achieved ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) Grade 7 Guitar certification, demonstrating high-level technical proficiency, musical interpretation, and theory knowledge.
The ABRSM Grade 7 examination covers advanced technical skills including complex fingerpicking patterns, classical repertoire interpretation, sight reading, aural tests, and music theory. Achieving this grade reflects years of dedicated practice and musical study.
Years of dedicated one-to-one and group tuition with experienced guitar teachers, building technique, music theory knowledge, and broad musical repertoire across classical and contemporary styles.
Private lessons provided the foundation for developing well-rounded musicianship — from correct posture and hand positioning in early years, through to advanced chord voicings, complex pieces, and performance skills at higher grades.
